When I got started writing songs is a bit complicated - I started recording and releasing music on BandCamp over the past year as something to do in lockdown while the theatres are closed - I was working as a director, actor and generally all-round maker of queer theatre before the world went a bit upside-down.

I had been writing and performing songs for a LARP setting for years before that though, and I do have a short album of a selection of those songs recorded with Red Banner Studios entitled Battleforged, also available on Bandcamp.

Everything you see on this site is entirely self-produced down to the sound effects and cover art. I play guitar and small harp, sing and occasionally use found objects as percussion.

I'm working on new material all the time, and putting together releases every time I have 4 new songs to put into an EP as a collection. Most of these songs are inspired by or workshopped with a weekly zoom group we've come to know as Bards Club - the upcoming release Mad Spirit has a couple of songs written for specific people in that group. Online friendships and meetups have been so important over the past year or so - screen friends, pocket friends or indeed, Friends in a Box - I couldn't have done any of this without you.
